The Head of sales is responsible for leading and growing the homeworking sales operations, driving sales growth, profitability, and brand performance identifying new commercial opportunities that deliver margin to the business. The ‘perfect’ candidate would have experience onboarding freelance travel advisors/ booking coordinators into a sales team. Senior leadership liaison between Finance, IT, Marketing and Product will be essential.

- Knowledge of the independent travel agent sector, with awareness of the differing commercial and operational models across retail, online, telesales, and homeworking environments.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for homeworking sales operations, with full accountability for growth and profitability
- Partner with Finance to manage budgets, forecasts, margins, and P&L performance, ensuring strong financial governance.
- Lead the expansion and commercial performance of the partner and homeworking network, maximising quality, scale, and return.
- Build and lead high performing teams, focusing on capability, succession, and engagement.
- Act as a credible senior leader, influencing at Board level through insight and performance reporting.
- Monitor market and competitor activity to protect and enhance member value.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, employment, GDPR, and health & safety requirements.
- Lead annual conferences, VIP events, and senior partner meetings.
Requirements
- Demonstrable track record of success in a senior leadership or director level role.
- Strong experience in negotiating.
- Willingness to undertake regular UK and occasional overseas travel as required including occasional working/meetings in Glasgow.
